Why are coupon amounts diffrent or why don't you get them at all?

Have you ever experienced the following:

Looked for a coupon in your paper and can't find it?
Found the coupon but the amount should be .75¢ but yours is $1?

What is going on here #$!@#$!#?

Well coupons are Regional and they can very from newspaper to newspaper and State to State. This can be very frustrating to a new or seasoned couponer hoping to get a great deal.

There are a few things you can do to try to overcome this obstacle:
  1. On Sunday purchase 2 different newspapers.  One from your local area and the other to your nearby large metropolitan city.  (I purchase the D&C and the Finger Lakes Times)
  2. Look to a Coupon Clipping Service.  They generally have access to coupon from across the country.  Coupons located on the West and in the South tend to be higher in value (.75¢ vs .50¢) as those parts of the country double only to .50¢ or not at all. (YIKES)!
  3. Here is a list of my favorite places.  I have ranked them in order from my favorite to least.
Ebay- My favorite place!

Happy Couponing!
