Tuesday Teaching Class

Today's Teaching Class - Price Book

Do you have a price book?  Do you know what a price book is?

When I became serious about saving money on my household goods I started a price book (for me it was a spread sheet on Excel).  I quickly realized I needed to know when an item was hitting it's lowest price in order to save the most money.

In order for me to figure that out, I logged each item I purchased onto my spread sheet with the date, item and price.  I realized that Wegmans does not operate the same as most national grocery stores.  Their sales on one item may last for  months.  But with Tops some items say a brand of cereal Kellogg's would go on sale every 30 days.

If you are not buying your household items when it's at the lowest price (with out using any coupons) you are already spending to much money!

By keeping a price book, spreadsheet, journal whatever you want to call it.  This allows you to have an ideal when each item is at it's lowest price.  You will then see that seasonally items also hit their lowest price.  See my list "The Best Time To Buy Everything"!  Combine coupons when an item is at it's lowest price and then stock up on it.  NOW YOU ARE REALLY SAVING!

Was this post helpful?  Is there an area of couponing you are struggling with?
Let me know I am here to help in any way I can.
Sharing Is Caring!
