BBQ Turkey Meatloaf with Salad and Bread -$6.73
When adding up cost of meal I don't include seasonings
This recipe is inspired by the Neelys on the Food network I have changed it a little to my own taste

Preheat oven 350 degrees F
Ingredients
1/2 tablespoon BBQ Seasoning
1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 large egg lightly beaten
Wegmans dozen lg eggs $1.59
Cost of one egg .16¢
1 cup BBQ Sauce (reserving 1/2 cup for the top)
Wegmans BBQ Sauce $1.99
My cost FREE (purchased during the summer with coupon)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 red pepper (chopped)
I purchased @ Wegmans a Tri-Color pack knowing I would use the peppers
for other meals $3.99 for pack
Cost for 1 pepper $1.33
1/2 Sweet onion (chopped)
$1 for full onion
.50¢ Wegmans
Salt and Pepper
2 cloves garlic, (chopped)
Bulk Garlic $3.99 lb
$1 for one head of garlic (did not include in cost of meal)
1 pound lean ground turkey
1 cup bread crumbs

Step 1
In a large bowl, mix BBQ seasoning, soy sauce, beaten egg, 1 cup of the BBQ sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
Step 2
In a saute pan over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Add onion, bell pepper, salt and pepper and garlic. Saute until tender. Remove from heat and add to wet mix.
Step 3
Pour mixture into bowl with the ground turkey. Add bread crumbs and mix all together with your hands
Step 4
Transfer the meat mixture to a cookie sheet or baking pan. Using your hands, shape the meat into an oblong or rectangular shape. *Cook's Note: Alternately, you can pat the meat into a 9 by 5-inch loaf pan and pour 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce on the top of the loaf.
Step 5
Bake for 35 minutes. Remove and add the reserved 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce to the top and continue to bake for 20 more minutes.
